Keywords: Learning climate, educational culture, context, place for learning, learning environment

Abstract

Workplace learning in medicine includes central concepts, sometimes confusing and interchangeable, such as context, environment, workplace, culture, and learning climate. Each concept is supported by diverse theoretical frameworks from the organizational and positive psychology, education, sociology, and organizational management fields, among others. Understanding these concepts is central to maximizing learning in the workplace. This document offers a review of these concepts and proposes a framework for their integration in the field of medical education.
