Abstract

Mr. Editor:
In relation to the article "Mentoring as a process that strengthens the development and personal growth of the student", I agree with the authors in the "Perception of the tutor about how the student takes tutoring for personal development and growth", where the students they do not have a clear idea of the work of the tutor and confuse it with subject counseling. Here is a very important point to develop: the need to disseminate the activities of the Institutional Tutoring Program (PIT) and the objectives to be achieved, which are very clear in the tutors, but not in the students, which generates confusion. I think it is very important that students know the PIT and what are the benefits of belonging to it, this can be achieved through specific actions to identify the work of the tutor, the use of videos explaining what the PIT is and what it is for, and a campaign in social networks so that students are motivated to approach the institutional programs and know how they can contribute to the achievement of their academic goals.
