Open Access Journal
Investigación en Educación Médica (Research in Medical Education) adheres to the open access initiatives, such as the one stated in the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities on 22nd Oct. 2003, where the Internet is promoted as a functional gateway for spreading scientific knowledge. As a recipient of the intellectual property conferred by the authors publishing in it, the Journal equally grants every user free access to the whole published content through its website, as well as a license to reproduce, transmit, and present the documents for academic, non-commercial purposes, provided that the corresponding credits to the source are included.
Specifically, the Journal is under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
The Journal also adheres to the General Guidelines for the Open Access Policy of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
User Rights
All articles published in the magazine will be immediately and permanently accessible for any user to read and download. The (Re) permitted use for third parties of the published contents will be defined by the following Creative Commons use license:
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). For non-commercial purposes, it allows others to distribute and copy the article. It also allows its inclusion in a collective work (as an anthology), provided that the author (s) are cited and the article is not altered or modified.
Publication Rate
The author of accepted articles should not pay for their publication. The Company or the institution that owns the magazine finances the production costs of the manuscripts.
Copyright
Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a 'Publication Agreement'. Acceptance of the agreement will guarantee the widest possible dissemination of information. Under this agreement, copyright will be transferred to the Company / Institution if the manuscript is accepted for publication. Company / Institution permission is required for resale or distribution outside the institution and for all other derivative works, including compilations and translations. If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included, the author (s) must obtain written permission from the copyright and credit owners of the source (s) in the article.
