Abstract

Mr. Editor :
In recent years, human anatomy has advanced significantly, to the point of understanding the human body in its complexity and to identify variations that arise in its anatomical structure.
We carried out the revision of 9 texts and atlases referring to descriptive, topographic and functional anatomy, where we observed the use of anatomical terminology with respect to the pelvic region, the coxal bone; As an example, we have the use of two anatomical terms "acetabulum" or "acetabular cavity" referred to a single structure, this review was made with the interest of identifying the appropriate use of international anatomical terminology.
