Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been published in or submitted to another another journal (or an explanation of the corresponding situation has been placed in the Comments to the editor).*
- The submission file is a source file of any of the following programs: OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF o WordPerfect.*
- Whenever possible, URL are provided for the references (and they work).*
- The text features 1.5 line spacing and a 12-point font size. Italics are used instead of underlining, except for URLs. All illustrations, charts, figures, and tables are included in a separate file in editable format.
- The submission adheres to the style requirements in the Author guidelines of this Journal.*
- The submission is carried out by the corresponding author, who assumes the resulting responsibilities.
Editorial
Se consideran artículos editoriales aquellos escritos en los que se definen posiciones o políticas institucionales respecto a un tema relacionado con la educación en ciencias de la salud, o donde un autor o un grupo de autores, expresa su opinión o discute sobre un tema de carácter polémico en los que la institución no ha establecido o no es necesario que defina una posición.
En esta revista generalmente la sección Editorial es escrita por el Editor en Jefe, aunque eventualmente puede invitarse a algun (a) académico (a) o especialista en el ámbito de la educación en ciencias de la salud.
Original Articles
Unedited manuscript providing with information for the development in the field of education in health sciences. The focus might be quantitative, qualitative or mixed. Merely descriptive manuscripts regarding an exclusively local phenomenon are not accepted, as opposed to manuscript with general relevance.
Review article
Manuscript aimed at explaining a defined topic. The contents are more than a simple summary of the published literature. Either narrative or traditional reviews are accepted only after invitation by the Editor. Nevertheless, proposals about topics or authors are welcome for their consideration.
Medical education research methodology
These papers focus on methodological and analytical issues regarding the process of education in health sciences.
Methodology articles are accepted only upon prior invitation by the Editor. However, proposals about topics and authors are welcome for their consideration.
Essays
Essays are accepted only upon prior invitation by the Editor. However, proposals about topics and authors are welcome for their consideration.
Letters to the editor
Academic commentaries about publications in prior editions of the journal.
