Abstract

Abstract
In this paper it is considered that the amount of information available in the health field is so large that cannot be fully processed by any student, hence the need to develop abilities to criticize the information: to recognize the merits and demerits of methodology, its relevance and applicability. This development should have a high priority in medical educational programs. According to the participatory perspective of education, critical reading is part of methodogical abilities to develop, such as: 1) Critical reading of scientific reports; 2) Critical reading of theoretical texts; 3) To carry out factual researches (the world of facts); 4) To carry out theoretical researches (the universe of ideas). The present paper will only refer to the first two.
